Meet Heather Brummet
by Heather Brummet on 01. Sep, 2010 in Blog
My name is Heather Brummett. I have been married to an amazing man for 8 years. We have two beautiful and very energetic children. I work full time outside the home and therefore spend much time trying to balance everything! Life is crazy but I would not change a thing! My two greatest passions are my family and my God!
I currently manage a blog “Living on Love and Cents” where my goal is to help all moms live on less! I am a coupon clipping queen and love to share all the coupon deals I find with my readers! I search the Internet with a fine tooth comb to find the best deals to pass along to my readers. I also do reviews of products that I think would interest my readers. And many times I am given the opportunity to share these products with my readers through giveaways! I love blogging and shopping for deals and Living on Love and Cents allows me to do both!
I also love to try new things! This is why I am so excited to participate in the Gotta Love Chevy Houston, Girlfriend’s Getaway! I am thrilled to try out my new Malibu and share the experience with everyone! This is going to be an awesome adventure and I hope you will all join in and take this ride with me!
The Malibu Comes to the Courthouse
by spepperchevy on 31. Aug, 2010 in Blog
I realize by the title of this blog you would think that I am in trouble…but no. At least three times a week I head down to the Harris County Courthouse to do “Whatcha Doin’ At The Courthouse”. So this week I took the Malibu with me. I have to have enough room to put all my courthouse stuff…shirts, recorder, release forms…bag…there’s a lot that goes in the car and the Malibu handled it like a champ.
Plus, because it was SUPER hot…like I mean my shoes were sticking to the pavement hot…I used the remote start right before I left so that the air was going and I got a relief from the heat.
I never released how great that remote start was until I had it and now I am pretty sure I can’t live without it!
I realize my blogs are short…but so am I…short and to the point
The Road To Vegas
by spepperchevy on 26. Aug, 2010 in Blog
So, this past weekend we went to Vegas
Video is on the way as soon as I can find my flip camera. I know, shocking, Sarah has misplaced something LOL. So, I have the video of Silly Jilly and I heading up the Outlets on 290…we took the Malibu
A. Because I knew it had the trunk space to store all of our stuff and…
B. Because I was on my Vegas budget and I needed those 33 miles to the gallon.
OH, and I love showing off the Malibu to everyone who rides in it!
So, the adventure started at my apartment…the shopping was amazing and then we ended the day at Ra Sushi…
I got everything I needed for Vegas. Took a post shopping video…which will be coming soon…and had everything packed and ready.
So, the day we leave Kelly Kelly had to work til three and our flight was at 4:40 so I offered to take her bag with me to the airport because I knew I had the trunk space to be able to do so.
Did I mention that all this driving and all these errands I have done so far I started with a full tank of gas and didn’t have to fill up until after we got back from Vegas…

Sunday Funday!
by spepperchevy on 17. Aug, 2010 in Blog
So this past Sunday was our friend Erin’s birthday and after brunch we all decided to go the pool at our friend’s apartment. I opted to drive, because I want to drive everywhere now that I have the Malibu and the first question was will we all fit?
Well, not only did everyone fit in the car but we had a giant inflated Nemo water raft, cooler, food, towels, two cases of soda, purses, pool bags and swim trunks for four all packed in the trunk with room to spare. Needless to say everyone was impressed, not only with the room but my ability to pack a trunk
Sunday Funday was definitely a success.
Ride the Airport
by spepperchevy on 12. Aug, 2010 in Blog
So my first adventure in my Malibu was to drive Ivan to the airport. I will have to quote him directly so that you can get a feel for how excited he was to ride in the car, he said, quote, “This car is AMAZING!”. To which I replied, quote, “I know right”.
I could start out with all the reasons I love the Chevy Malibu but then we would be here all day so I will just start with the first three
1. I love the new car smell. It is amazing!
2. I love the trunk space! Seriously I have had an SUV for the past year and I was worried I wouldn’t have the space for all the junk I carry to and from every where I go and to be honest, I have room left over! Ivan could have gone to the airport in the trunk with his bag if we had wanted to
3. I love the way it feels. I am only 4’10 and usually I have to have my seat professionally adjusted to fit me but there are some many ways to position this seat that I found my “sweet spot”.
I am heading on a road trip to Austin later this month and I am super excited to take it in the Malibu because I know I won’t spend my entire budge on gas! Plus, I’m not gonna lie, I love showing it off to my friends.
Check back…there will be more pictures and video to come!

About Sarah Pepper
by spepperchevy on 11. Aug, 2010 in Blog
My name is Sarah Pepper I do the morning show for Hot 95.7. I have been talking about the Chevy Malibu now for over a year so you can imagine how excited I was to be able to drive one for a month. The “boys” (PK and Ivan) are a bit jealous, even though Ivan got to ride to the airport in style in the Malibu…if PK is good I will give him a ride too. Keep checking back because the summer is still in session and I have a ton of road trips planned for me and my Malibu… I may never give it back!
Mamma’s Tunes… FINALLY!
by Dana Clover on 09. Aug, 2010 in Blog, video
One thing I have loved Loved LOVED about the Malibu is the Handy-Dandy iPod jack that’s built into the radio.
For so long, I’ve been driving kids around and in the process I end up listening to what they want to listen to.
On more than one occasion, I’ve found myself driving around with no children in the car with some nursery-rhyme CD still playing through my radio!
In the Malibu, It’s Momma’s Tunes all the time!
Look how easy it is!
Chevy thought of everything with this Malibu!
